I am writing to appeal for your kind support towards a charity that is dear to me and my family. I have been fortunate to have the support and help needed to learn about autism and how to work with those affected by it. However, not all families are lucky enough to have the resources to cope with the demands of their autistic child. This is where the charity I am fundraising for "WNC Run/Walk for Autism" comes into help.
Autism Society provides much-needed support to families affected by autism. They help with advocacy, education and community outreach.
Through the years autism prevalence rates have increased dramatically. Reported in 2007, 1:150 children were diagnosed with autism, now reported in 2023 approximately 1:36 children are diagnosed. The cost of caring for Americans with autism is estimated to rise to $461 Billion by 2025 in the absence of more-effective interventions and support across the life span. Autism costs are estimated $60,000 a year through childhood, with the bulk of costs in special services, lost wages related to increased demands.
I am reaching out to you today to ask for your help in raising funds for this worthy cause. Your donation can make a significant difference in the lives of families affected by autism.
Any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated and will go a long way in supporting families like mine. Your kindness and generosity towards this cause would mean so much to me and so many other families facing the similar challenges.
Please help me in promoting acceptance and understanding in our society!
Thank you for supporting the WNC Run/Walk for Autism. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
A loving mother
