Join us for the 14th annual WNC Run/Walk for Autism at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Bill Moore Community Park, 85 Howard Gap Road in Fletcher!
As many as 1 in 57 children may be diagnosed with autism in North Carolina. You can make a difference in the lives of children with autism and their families by registering for the WNC Run/Walk for Autism. Registration is $25, but you can make an even bigger impact by recruiting family members, friends, and co-workers to form a team and raise donations — now is the time to start!
Proceeds from the WNC Run/Walk for Autism will fund local programs of the Autism Society of North Carolina (ASNC), the leading statewide resource organization serving the over 65,000 people in NC across the spectrum throughout their lifespans. Everyone knows someone affected by autism — maybe your brother, cousin, friend at school, neighbor, or co-worker. Join others on Sept. 14 to make a difference in the life of someone you care about with ASD. You can help!
The WNC Run/Walk for Autism will have something for everyone! Join us for the 5K race or the recreational 1K run/walk.
The family-friendly event will also offer activities for children, refreshments, and vendor space where dozens of local support resources are showcased.
Come be a part of our community for this fun day!
The Autism Society of North Carolina is the leading statewide resource organization serving people across the autism spectrum throughout their lifespans.
We understand the challenges of the autism community because we work with individuals on the autism spectrum and their families every day. We offer advocacy, training and education, and direct care that helps individuals with autism to, increase their social and communication skills, develop independent-living skills, succeed in school or on the job, participate in community activities, and advocate for themselves.
We have a statewide network of resources, connecting individuals with autism and their families to life-changing programs and supports unavailable anywhere else.
