Please join us as we walk to honor our son Gavin in the 10th annual Greensboro Run/Walk for Autism at 9AM Saturday, September 29th 2018.
In North Carolina, 1 in 57 children will be diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This staggering statistic includes our son Gavin, who received an official diagnosis of Autism in the Spring of 2013. You can make a difference in the lives of children with autism and their families by registering for the Greensboro Run/Walk for Autism. The registration is only $25, but please consider making any size donation!
Proceeds from the Greensboro Run/Walk for Autism will fund local programs of the Autism Society of North Carolina (ASNC). In our community, ASNC provides Autism Resource Specialists to guide families through caring for their children throughout their lifespans; training for teachers, medical professionals, and direct-care staff so they have the most effective, up-to-date autism research and methodologies; and high quality, direct-care services that meet the unique needs of individuals with autism in home, work, and community settings. Join us on September 29 to make a difference in the life of Gavin, our family, or someone you care about with ASD. You can help, so please give generously!
The Autism Society of North Carolina is the leading statewide resource organization serving people across the autism spectrum throughout their lifespans.
We understand the challenges of the autism community because we work with individuals on the autism spectrum and their families every day. We offer advocacy, training and education, and direct care that helps individuals with autism to, increase their social and communication skills, develop independent-living skills, succeed in school or on the job, participate in community activities, and advocate for themselves.
We have a statewide network of resources, connecting individuals with autism and their families to life-changing programs and supports unavailable anywhere else.
