Your Support Matters

Our son, Ben, was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the midst of a global pandemic.  I can't tell you how lost and alone my husband and I felt. Our most precious person needed support that we couldn't even begin to comprehend.

Enter the Autism Society of North Carolina.
ASNC's purpose is to improve the lives of individuals with autism, supports their families, and educates communities. They acted as guides and educators, opening the door to countless support systems and resources. We learned that a diagnosis of Autism isn't an end, but a new beginning. Ben is not broken; he does not need to be fixed. Our child perceives the world around him differently than we do. It is up to us to learn how to connect with our son on HIS level.

We are forever grateful to ASNC for leading the charge in effecting real change in our community, as well as in legislation.  We have a long way to go toward ensuring a welcoming and inclusive space for all. With your support, we can continue this important work. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.

The Autism Society of North Carolina is the leading statewide resource organization serving autistic people across the spectrum throughout their lifespans.

We understand the challenges of the autism community because we work with individuals on the autism spectrum and their families every day. We offer advocacy, training and education, and direct care that helps individuals with autism to, increase their social and communication skills, develop independent-living skills, succeed in school or on the job, participate in community activities, and advocate for themselves.

We have a statewide network of resources, connecting individuals with autism and their families to life-changing programs and supports unavailable anywhere else.
