Welcome to the lair of team ADHDragons

Donate Now

Our family is excited to return to the annual run for Autism with the Autism Society of North Carolina. We walk and run in honor of our neurodiversity and autism hero, Abigail. She named the team ADHDragons after her love for dragons and all things fantasy, and her complete conviction that ADHD is a super power.

We are excited to have you join us on the page and welcome you to join us on race day. We have a modest fundraising goal as a team and would be appreciative of your financial support if you choose to do so. Abigail wants to make very clear that the money is not going toward a *cure* for autism, since that would be completely silly and awful, and autism is awesome. So don't worry, your money would be well spent, making kids who are special get the support and opportunities to believe in themselves and dragons and the future.

The Autism Society of North Carolina is the leading statewide resource organization serving people across the autism spectrum throughout their lifespans.

We understand the challenges of the autism community because we work with individuals on the autism spectrum and their families every day. We offer advocacy, training and education, and direct care that helps individuals with autism to, increase their social and communication skills, develop independent-living skills, succeed in school or on the job, participate in community activities, and advocate for themselves.

We have a statewide network of resources, connecting individuals with autism and their families to life-changing programs and supports unavailable anywhere else.
