Kara's Zipping for Autism Fundraising Page
Zipping for Autism was created by a passionate parent, teacher, and local business owner who saw both a need for, and the great value of, early diagnosis and intervention for families she worked with. This event is a grass-roots effort by families, local businesses, and national supporters who realize it is up to the community to step up and make a difference for children and families in the community. ZFA was born in western NC, all funds remain in our region, and you will benefit from the experience of being involved in a unique, local, and fun event. - See more at: http://support.autismsociety-nc.org/site/PageNavigator/about_zipping.html#sthash.UJK3I2rl.dpuf
As many of you know, Autism Advocacy is a cause near and dear to my heart. I am on the Board for Camp Lakey Gap for Autistic Individuals and consider it one of the best experiences that a child on the spectrum can be given.
100% of the money raised from individual and team donations from Zipping for Autism supports the programs and services of the Autism Society of North Carolina in western NC, with a particular focus on advocacy, respite, and diagnostic services. - See more at: http://support.autismsociety-nc.org/site/TR?fr_id=1210&pg=entry#sthash.OnDMyQpJ.dpuf
The Adventure Center of Asheville's owners have a daughter who is a wonderful special ed teacher and autism advocate. I had the pleasure of working with her at camp last year and learned so much from our time together. I am grateul to them for their generosity.
Please, donate and help me raise funds and awareness for this unique cause.
