Your donations can do so much more than you realize!!
Thank you for supporting the Raleigh Run/Walk for Autism! Your contribution is greatly appreciated. The team was created to show support for Connor who was diagnosed with Autism in 2005. With a loving and supportive team made up of family, friends, teachers & therapists, Connor has made tremendous progress. We are so thankful to have your love and support.
Everyone hears that early intervention is key, and the Autism Society of NC helps provide support & advocacy for these newly diagnosed families. But they also provide much needed services that are many times not spot-lighted.
One of those services is Camp Royall, an overnight camp operating with help from the Autism Society since 1972. Connor has spent several weekends at camp learning life skills, zip-lining, canoeing & gaining independence skills. Last spring, he spent an entire week there with a one on one provided by the camp. Without fundraisers like this walk, places like Camp Royall cannot exist.
They also provide respite services & residential services for adults which is rarely talked about when thinking of families living with Autism. These areas are being hit the hardest with today's economy and desperately need our support.
So please, give as little or as much as you can to support our team. Your donations can do so much more than you realize!!
The Autism Society of North Carolina is the leading statewide resource organization serving people across the autism spectrum throughout their lifespans.
We understand the challenges of the autism community because we work with individuals on the autism spectrum and their families every day. We offer advocacy, training and education, and direct care that helps individuals with autism to increase their social and communication skills, develop independent-living skills, succeed in school or on the job, participate in community activities, and advocate for themselves.
We have a statewide network of resources, connecting individuals with autism and their families to life-changing programs and supports unavailable anywhere else.
