Join us for the 10th annual Coastal NC Run/Walk for Autism on Saturday, April 25, at Mayfaire Town Center in Wilmington!
As many as 1 in 57 children may be diagnosed with autism in North Carolina. You can make a difference in the lives of children with autism and their families by registering for the Coastal NC Run/Walk for Autism. Registration is $25, but you can make an even bigger impact by recruiting family members, friends, and co-workers to form a team and raise donations — now is the time to start!
Register during our kick-off event on Wednesday, Jan. 22, and receive a free draft beer. The event will be 4-7:30 p.m. at Waterman's Brewing, 1610 Pavilion Place, Wilmington.
Proceeds from the Coastal NC Run/Walk for Autism will fund local programs of the Autism Society of North Carolina, the leading statewide resource organization serving the over 65,000 people in NC across the spectrum throughout their lifespans. Participation in this event has helped ASNC to open a Social Recreation Center in Wilmington that offers summer day camps, afterschool care, and adult programs. Funding from the Run/Walk also enabled ASNC to bring other programs to the region, including LifeLong Interventions, ASNC’s comprehensive treatment program for children and adults, and workshops with ASNC clinical experts.
Everyone knows someone affected by autism — maybe your brother, cousin, friend at school, neighbor, or co-worker. Join others to make a difference in the life of someone you care about with ASD. You can help!
The Coastal NC Run/Walk for Autism will have something for everyone! Join us for the 5K competitive race, the 5K noncompetitive run, or the kids' dash. The family-friendly event will also offer a children's play area, music, and a resource fair. Come be a part of our community for this fun day!
