Join us for the 12th annual WNC Run/Walk for Autism at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Asheville Christian Academy, 74 Riverwood Road, Swannanoa! Note that the event has been changed back to a Saturday morning this year.

Online registration is now closed, but you can still register during packet pickup on Friday, Sept. 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at ASNC’s Asheville office, 306 Summit St. You also can register starting at 8 a.m. Saturday morning at Asheville Christian Academy before the event. As many as 1 in 59 children may be diagnosed with autism in North Carolina. You can make a difference in the lives of children with autism and their families by registering for the WNC Run/Walk for Autism. Registration is $25, but you can make an even bigger impact by recruiting family members, friends, and co-workers to form a team and raise donations — now is the time to start!

Proceeds from the WNC Run/Walk for Autism will fund local programs of the Autism Society of North Carolina (ASNC), the leading statewide resource organization serving the over 65,000 people in NC across the spectrum throughout their lifespans. Everyone knows someone affected by autism — maybe your brother, cousin, friend at school, neighbor, or co-worker. Join others on Sept. 9 to make a difference in the life of someone you care about with ASD. You can help!

The WNC Run/Walk for Autism will have something for everyone! Join us for the 5K race or the recreational 1K run/walk. The family-friendly event will also offer activities for children, music, refreshments, and vendor space where dozens of local support resources are showcased. Come be a part of our community for this fun day!
